02.11 What is this transition from death unto life called? John 3:7 Born again.

02.13 According to II Timothy 1:12, Jude 24 and John 17:11, 12, it is whose job to keep our soul?
         Christ    God/Saviour    Holy Father    Christ

02.14 What part do good works play in the obtaining of our salvation? Read Ephesians 2:8,9,10 and Titus 3:5.
None. / Not of works lest any man should boast / Not by works of righteousness which we had done

02.15 In I John 5:12, what guarantee does God give for those who have His Son? He that hath the Son hath life.

02.16 Who gives us the assurance that we are the children of God? Romans 8:16 The Holy Spirit.

02.17 Since feelings often change, upon what must we depend? Why? I Peter 1:25 The Word of God - It endures forever.

Now that we have thoroughly covered the fact that we are eternally saved, some still might ask, "What happens to a Christian when he sins"? That is an honest question, and thank God, the Bible has the answer.

02.18 The first question we must ask ourselves is, "What part of man is saved" or "born of God"?
Hebrews 10:39 The soul is saved.

02.19 I Thessalonians 5:23 divides man into what three parts?
      (1) Spirit
      (2) Soul
      (3) Body

02.20 If it is the soul which is born of God, what is it that the soul cannot do, according to I John 3:9? Commit sin.

02.21 In II Corinthians 5:17, the Bible says, "If any man be in Christ"; the key phrase is "in Christ". Our soul is in Christ, but
our body (flesh) is to be what, according to I Corinthians 9:27? Body - subjection - under authority.

02.22 In Hebrews 10:14, Jesus Christ, by one offering, hath done what for us? Perfected / made perfect.

And, for how long? Forever.

02.23 According to Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30, our inner man (soul) is what by the Holy Spirit?
Is sealed until we receive our inheritance.
Is sealed unto the day of redemption.

02.24 Also, according to these same verses, our soul is sealed unto the what? Unto the day of redemption.

02.25 You may say, "Well, I know my soul is safe in Christ, but when will my body be redeemed?
Read carefully Romans 8:21-23. This scripture teaches that our soul has already received the first-fruit
(redemption), but our body has to what? It has to wait (groaning and pain) for the adoption / The Rapture.

02.26 The next thought that you are probably thinking is when will this (my) body be redeemed?
In I Corinthians 15:44, what two bodies are described?
         (1) Natural body. (2) Spiritual body.

02.27 According to I Corinthians 15:46, which body do we possess first? Natural body.

02.28 In I Corinthians 15:50, what expression convinces us that we must receive a spiritual body in order to
inherit heaven?  Flesh and blood cannot inherit / Corruption cannot inherit.

02.29 In I Corinthians 15:51, the verse says, "we will not all sleep (die), but we shall be changed"

02.30 According to I Corinthians 15:52, how long will it take God to change our natural bodies into spiritual ones?
In a moment / in the twinkling of an eye. Note: A twinkle is quicker than a blink. Test: Try not to blink.

02.31 This, my dear friend, will take place at a time that we Christians call "The Rapture."
I Thessalonians 4:16-17 describes this blessed event. According to these verses, Who will descend? The LORD.

02.32 In these same verses, who shall be caught up? The dead in Christ shall raise first then we (Believers) which are alive.

02.33 Those who are caught up are in Whom? In Christ.

02.34 I John 3:2 teaches that the saved are the sons of Whom? God.

These verses also say that Christians don't know exactly what the new body will be like, but we do know Whom
it will be like. Please state whom: Christ.

02.35 At this time, you probably understand that your soul has been redeemed and that your body is waiting for
the redemption The Rapture), so it can be changed. But, you might think, "What am I to do with my body
(flesh) now"? What is the answer according to I Corinthians 9:27? Bring it into subjection.

02.36 Now, in Romans 7:18, what did Paul say about the flesh? No good thing dwelleth in me.

02.37 Can we say the same thing about our flesh? If Paul said so, so must I.

02.38 If our flesh causes us to sin, how can we find power to overcome it? Galatians 5:16
Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

02.39 What does Philippians 4:13 teach us we can do? I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

02.40 The worst thing that can befall a Christian is to lose fellowship with God because of sin. In Psalm 37:24,
the Lord says that if a man falls, he is not what? He shall not be utterly cast down.
Why? For the LORD upholdeth him with His hand.

02.41 When David sinned, he did not ask the Lord to save him all over again. He asked the Lord to do what?
Psalm 51:12 Restore and uphold him.

02.42 In Psalm 89:29-36, David described Israel's sin. But, in spite of their sin, David said that God would
not take His loving kindness utterly from them nor break His covenant with them, and that His seed
          would endure for ever.

02.43 You and I have victory over sin, when we depend on the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:31  teaches us what
great truth? "If" Greek = since. Since God be for us who can be against us.

02.44 In your own words, what does I John 4:4 mean to you? I belong to God. His Spirit dwells inside of me.
That Spirit is stronger than the evil spirit of Satan that is in the world. I can have victory over sin through
the power of the Holy Spirit.

02.45 In Galatians 2:20, by Whose faith did Paul say he was living his life? Faith of the Son of God.

02.46 According to I Corinthians 10:13, God will never what? He will not suffer me to be tempted above that
I am able. He will make a way to escape - Bare it (have victory over it) NOT do it (fall to it in defeat).

CONCLUSION: My dear Christian friend, you are saved not just now, you are saved forever. You now have the power of God in you (The Holy Spirit), Who will give you victory over every sin. Remember, if God can save you, God can deliver you from any habit, attitude, or action that is sin. Read Proverbs 3:5-6.(It is always good to write the verses out - write them on this page).

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
