ANSWERS TO LESSON 03

Unto What Has God Saved Us?

So many times, you hear people complain about what they have to "give up" if they become a Christian. Well, my dear friend, it is not what you and I must give up that counts. It is what God GIVES to us that counts. Notice all the things that God has given to us.

03.01 In John 14:1, what will help us overcome a broken or sorrowful heart? Believing in both God and Christ.

03.02 What is Jesus preparing for you and me now? John 14:2 A place.

03.03 What is the great promise of John 14:3? I will come again (Rapture) and receive you unto myself and
where I am, there ye may be also.

03.04 According to John 14:6, how many ways are there to get to Heaven? Only one!

03.05 In John 15:15, what does Jesus call us? Friends.

03.06 Who loved first, according to I John 4:19? God / We love Him, because He first loved us.

03.07 What does the Bible say that we are, through God's love? Romans 8:37 More than conquerors.

03.08 What can separate a Christian from the love of God? Romans 8:35,38,39 Nothing.

03.09 According to II Corinthians 3:17, what accompanies the Spirit of the Lord? Liberty.

03.10 According to I Corinthians 6:19, where does the Holy Spirit dwell? In your body.

03.11 If the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, then what do we have, according to Romans 8:21?
Deliverance from the bondage of sin to glorious liberty and freedom.

03.12 What does John 1:12 teach us that we have the right to be? Sons of God.

03.13 Because of that promise, what does Romans 8:17 mean to you? We are children of God. Heirs. Joint heirs
          with Christ.

03.14 According to I Corinthians 15:51, what will happen to those saints (Christians) who don't die?
          We shall be changed.

03.15 How quickly will this take place? I Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.

03.16 This is called The Rapture. In what order will God rapture the saints? I Thessalonians 4:16-17
The dead in Christ shall rise first and we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them.

Note: The Rapture is the next major event in Bible history. It will occur without warning. It will occur when you least
expect it. It can occur very very soon. Only the saved will be raptured. Everyone else will be left behind. How many
loved one and friends do you know that will be left behind? Show them from the Bible how to get saved. Tell
them how you got saved. Tell them about Christ. Tell them today! The Holy Spirit will give you the words to say.
Read to them Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 6:23 (first half)
For the wages of sin is death; Romans 5:8 But God commendeth (showed) his love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us; Romans 6:23 (last half) But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord;
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved; Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation; and Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.

Don't be the reason they were left behind!

03.17 According to Galatians 5:22-23, what does the Holy Spirit produce in a Christian's life? (Fruit of the Spirit):
                (1) Love
                (2) Joy
                (3) Peace
                (4) Longsuffering
                (5) Gentleness
                (6) Goodness
                (7) Faith
                (8) Meekness
                (9) Temperance

03.18 According to I John 1:7, if we walk in the light, what will we have with God and our fellow Christians?
          Fellowship.

03.19 Read I Corinthians 13. According to this Scripture, what is the most important thing we can posses? Charity
(Love). What will it do for us? It never fails (13:8). It helps us to bear all things, believe all things, hope all
          things, and endure all things.

03.20 According to I Timothy 2:1, what should we do? Pray with thanksgiving and make intercession for all men.

CONCLUSION:
We have life in Christ, and all the empowerment of the indwelling Holy Spirit to live that life. In Christ we have a
Saviour, a new relation- ship with God, the indwelling Holy Spirit, new friends in Christ, a new guide book . . .
the Bible, and a new value system. In other words, a total new life. II Corinthians 5:17 (Write the verse out on
the bottom of this page). There if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
