Chapter 2:1-7

Lesson 4 with Answers
Dear Church of Ephesus

I. Unto the Pastor of the church of Epheus write:
I know thy works
I know thy labour
I know thy patience

II. Ephesus is the Busy church.

III. You can not bear them which are evil
Thou hast tried them which say they are
Apostles and are not.
Thou hast found them liars

IV. For my name’s sake
Thou hast borne (endured)
Thou hast patience (carried burden)
Thou hast laboured
Thou hast not fainted

V. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee.
Because thou hast left thy First Love.

Note: The church of Ephesus had Paul (3 yrs), Timothy and John as it's Pastors
yet it failed because of the answer to question above.

VI. Three things for us to do:
1. Remember
2. Repent
3. Do the first works

VII. What did the church of Ephesus and Christ hate?
They hated the deeds of the Nicolaitians.

Note: Nicolaitians were a false cult started by Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch, listed in Acts 6:5
Maybe that's why Christ hated them so much.

VIII. He that hath an ear, let him hear.

IX. To the Overcomer will I give to eat of the
Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the
Paradise of God.
