Chapter 2:12-17

Dear Church In Pergamos

I. Unto the Pastor of the church of Pergamos
write: These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges.

II. Pergamos is the Compromising church.

III. I know
(A) thy works
(B) where thou dwellest
(C) where Satan's seat is. (vs 9 & 13)
(D) thou holdest fast my name.
(E) thou hast not denied my faith.

IV. Antipas was my faithful martyr (see vs 10)

V. But I have a few things against thee:
(A) You hold the doctrine of Balaam
(1) To eat things sacrificed to idols
(2) To commit fornication
(B) You hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans (False cult)
(1) Which things I hate (vs 15)
(2) Which things I also hate (vs 6)

VI. Reprent or else I will come unto thee quickly
I will fight against thee

VII. To him that overcometh
(A) I will give to eat of the hidden manna
(B) I will give him a white stone

VIII. In the stone a new name
