Chapter 3:7-13

Lesson 9 with Answers
Dear Church In Philadelphia

I. Unto the Pastor of the church of Philadelphia write: These things saith
he that is Holy
Note:
Holy at birth (Luke 1:35)
Holy at death (Acts 2:27)
Holy at High Priest (Heb. 7:26)

he that is True (John 14:6)
he that hath the key of David (Luke 1:31-33)
he that openeth, and no man shutteth
he that shutteth, and no man openeth

II. Philadelphia is the Bible church.

III. Behold I have set before thee an open door.
An open door to Salvation
An open door to the Throne of God (via prayer)
An open door to Service

IV. For thou hast a little strength
For thou hast kept my Word
For thou hast not denied my Name

V. I will keep thee from the hour of temptation (Gk. Trial)
The hour of temptation is the tribulation
The hour of temptation shall come upon all the world

VI. When will Christ come quickly? Anytime now. Called the Rapture (I Thess. 4:13-18)

VII. Hold that fast which thou hast

VIII. What does Christ promise to all who overcome?
Him will I make a pillar in the temple of God
He shall go no more out (permanent)

IX. What three names will be written on all who will overcome?
(1) I will write upon him the Name of my God
(2) And the name of the city of my God
(3) I will write upon him my new name (Christ's name)

X. New Jerusalem is the name of the city of my God. (Rev. 21:2)

XI. Which cometh down out of heaven from my God

XII. Where will all believers spend eternity with God and Christ?
New Jerusalem here on earth (Rev. 22:3-4)
