Chapter 13:1-10

Lesson 25 with Answers
The Beast Out of the Sea

The first ten verses of Rev. 13 predict a future world government which from God’s point of view will be a continuation of the ancient Roman Empire expanded unintimidatingly to cover the entire world. This government will be empowered by Satan, and its primary objective will be forcing the whole world to worship Satan and his human representative, the world dictator.

I. (vs 1-2) The beast out of the sea is the AntiChrist
The ten horns are the ten nations
that make up the old boundary of the Roman Empire.
Satan gives the Antichrist three things:
(1) His power
(2) His seat
(3) His great authority

II (vs 3) The head that was wounded and is now being revived to life is the Roman Empire.
Cause of death was Christianity.

III. (vs 4) The world will adore

Note: Adore is to worship. Gk meaning: To kiss, like a dog licking his master's hand.
(1) Satan and
(2) The AntiChrist. This will be the one world Government.

IV. (vs 5) How long will this last? 3 1/2 years (42 months)

V. (vs 6) The one world government will blaspheme
(1) God's Name
(2) God's Tabernacle
(3) God's Domain

VI. (vs 7) The AntiChrist overcomes the Saints in war

VII. (vs 8) All the unsavedworship the AntiChrist
This will be the one world Church (One World Religion).

VIII. (vs 9) This is not said unto the churches in Chapters 2 and 3.
It is said after the Rapture takes place.

IX. (vs 10) God gives a warning to the unbelievers.
God gives a promise to the believers.
Patience and faith of the Saints are also seen in Rev. 14:12.
