Chapter 14:14-20

Lesson 29 with Answers
The Great Winepress
of the Wrath of God


I. John sees someone sitting on a white cloud.
Who is that one? Son of Man (Christ)

II. What did He have in His hand? A sharp sickle

III. What was on His head? A golden crown

IV. An angel appears from where? The Temple

V. The harvest of the earth is ripe (To Christ)

Note: Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great,
but the labourers are few: prat ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he would send forth labourers into the harvest (Luke 10:2).

VI The vineyard of the earth is fully ripe (For judgment)

VII. Who had the second sickle ? An angel

VIII. Where did he come from? The Temple

IX. Where did the next angel come from? The Altar

X. What power did he have? Power over fire

XI. How many times was there a sharp sickle thrust? Twice

Note: Once to gather the harvest and once to gather the waste.

XII. What was gathered the second time? The vine of the earth

XIII. Where was it cast after it was gathered? In the Great Winepress

Note: It was the vine, not the fruit of the vine, that will be gathered and crushed.
The fruit will be picked and taken away. The saved are the fruit.
The vine will be left behind to be crushed. The unsaved are the vine.

XIV. This winepress was called
“The Great Winepress of the Wrath of God"

XV. In verse 20, what is the name of this city? Jerusalem

XVI. What came out of the winepress? Blood

XVII. Would you say the horse’s bridle was high? Yes

XVIII. A thousand and six hundred furlongs equals 200 miles.

XIX. Israel (From North to South) measures 160 miles.

XX. How many angels are mentioned in Rev. Chapter 14? Six

Note: Many people like to talk about angels.
Take them to Chapter 14 and tell them God will use angels to bring judgment upon mankind.

This can be used to give a witness to the lost.
