Chapter 21:1-8

Lesson 39 with Answers
The Believer's Promise
The Unbeliever's Warning

I. According to 21:1, what two things are new?
(1) Heaven
(2) Earth

II. What two things are passed away?
(1) First Heaven
Note:
This is not Heaven Heaven, but the heaven around the earth . . . the atmosphere where Satan once ruled and reigned. Everything related to Satan will be removed and replaced.

(2) First Earth
Note:
God will not create another Earth, but will remove all evil from the present one making it seem to be like
another new earth. This is something that all believers in time will see.

III. Name the “Seven No Mores”?
(1) No more sea
(2) No more death
(3) No more sorrow
(4) No more crying
(5) No more pain
(6) No more sun
(7) No more moon

IV. What comes down from God? New Jerusalem

V. Besides holy, what one word describes this city? Prepared
Note:
Read John 14:3

VI. According to verse 3, what five promises are given to believers?
(1) The Tabernacle of God is with men
(2) He (God) will dwell with them
Note:
These are only those who have been saved.
(3) They shall be His people
(4) God Himself shall be with them
(5) God shall be their God

VII. Where is heaven? On Earth - where God is.

VIII. Where is God? On the Earth too.

IX. What are passed away? The former things

XI. What does the word “overcometh” mean in verse 7?
Saved - Victory in Jesus
Note:
Read John 16:33
Because Chist has overcome the world, we too through Him have done the same.

XII. The Lake of Fire awaits the following people:
(1) Fearful
(2) Unbelieving
(3) Abominable
(4) Murders
(5) Sorcerers
(6) Whoremongers
(7) Idolaters
(8) All Liars
(9) Only you can answer that question
Note:
If you are among these listed above, fear not - there is HOPE.
That HOPE is Jesus Christ and Him only.
All is not lost. Christ came so that the lost may be found.
The ONLY way to be saved from The Lake of Fire is by faith.
The Bible says you must believe, but you have to have faith that tells you what to believe.
Don't place your faith in the wrong thing.
Paul says in Acts 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved."
