Social Ignorance
Letter to The Bellevue Gazette from Thomas E. Churchill, E. Twp. Rd. 164,

To the Editor:
In reference to the article written by Pastor Ralph H. Flynn, in the Nov. 25 issue of The Bellevue Gazette, and its refutation by local clergy, (Dec. 12), I would be irresponsible if I did not respond also.
May we adjust our "tunnel vision" from limiting us to the media directed attention to Roman Catholic priests and acknowledge the escalation in other denominations also.
We find it popular to condemn sexual abuse by Roman Catholic priests and to take them to court, convict and penalize them. But, have we not become tolerant of the same kind of people who pursue adoption of young children, that they may expose them to their lifestyle and beliefs?
Perversion is not as great a problem as is our is our social ignorance and irresponsibility of its permissiveness.
Let's start from the beginning. God's first commandment to a man and a woman. "And God blessed them and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it . . ." (Genesis 1:28 KJV).
God did not say that a man and a man or a woman and a woman. His instructions were for a natural union that would bring forth life. The perversion of unnatural sex brings forth only one product, death. No one can violate the creation wisdom of God and expect good results.
Marriage and holy matrimony are two separate things; one is not dependent upon the other. Holy matrimony is a willful commitment of one man and one woman to unite their spirits and souls in a lifetime bond. Marriage is the joining of their flesh, wherein the two become one and the wedlock is consummated.
Marriage can involve perversion whereas holy matrimony cannot. Marriage should be a joining of natural order. You can graft wood to wood. It grows together and becomes one unit. You can weld two pieces of steel together which is a melting and joining into an inseparable oneness. But, you cannot weld a piece of wood to a piece of metal. That is futility. There is no good or useful result.
The morality of our nation is suffering today because of unnatural and ungodly pursuits. Society is swept up in the seductions of the liberal media structures and condescending to prime time advertisements of things that God hates and has already expressed his wrath over. (Genesis 19:1-29).
As Christians, we are to love the sinner and hate the sin. We are mot supposed to excommunicate them socially, but we also do not invite them into a place respective of holiness. Light and darkness have no communion with each other.
We do not dispute faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Is there neglect therein? No. Our society has presented unlimited access, by every means, for the Gospel to be heard or read.
Therefore, there must be a governed fellowship with the sinner until the sins are repented. Compromise the will of God and you have the first stages of apostasy.
If your clergy determines to open your church doors to sinners, before their repentance, I would suggest you consider replacing that clergy or seek the assembling of yourselves in the church of Pastor Flynn.
It is evident the theological seminaries have given birth to the "false prophet" of end times - the apostate priesthood that is among us today.
Have they never read Romans 1 18-32, or Ephesians 4:18-19?
